I read your blog entry, too... Blanche sounds like such a sweetie. What a wonderful thing that you were able to take her in and give her such a long life where she was just loved absolutely. And it must have been comforting to end her life with her favorite person supporting her.</p> <p>I lost my first dog Abbey quite suddenly and with no warning when she was nine. The vet said a blood clot could have been the cause as well - she literally fell over while playing with my mom and was just gone.
