It's accessible by public transport (Metronorth) but it's quite the pilgrimage, and since your schedule doesn't allow for it I would probably say pass. It's a plus size "trendy" store and a sister store of Hot Topic. I actually own skinny jeans from Torrid and they're great. Mine are the actual Torrid brand, but they also carry several other brands of skinny jeans so there is a great selection to try on. I just searched for Torrid locations but there doesn't seem to be a store in NYC. There are a couple NY locations but I don't know their proximity to NYC.
