You might try Brooks Brothers. They have some longer styles in their women's buttondowns, although I haven't looked lately.

I am very long waisted with a l-o-o-ong torso so I shy away from low rises since they make me look like I'm all torso with legs stuck on at the knees. At 5'1", I am also a Petite, but I've occasionally purchased in the regular department if the item is not long sleeved and looks like it is cut short in the torso. Basically, I study the online photos and review the measurements and reviews. For online retailers, you can usually email, instant message, or call them for measurements. A year or two ago I bought my only J. Crew item, a linen shirt. It is cut quite long, and their photos look to me as though their shirts tend to be cut long. Foxcroft, sold by Nordstrom, seems to be cut quite short through the torso btw.

So it seems like I have a long torso or something. Tops are often a bit on the short side, especially with pants that have a medium or low rise. (All my pants!) I am constantly adjusting/pulling down my tops in the back after standing up. I've bought a couple of Tall size tees from the Gap; the length is nice, but the armhole area doesn't fit exactly right.

Are there any brands that seem to fit better if you have along waist/torso?
