So far it appears there were two occupants for the other vehicle. One had head injuries and the other leg injuries, but right now it appears that both are stable and will recover. I will continue to hold them in my thoughts, and I am all too aware of how lucky I am.</p> <p>Regarding the blazer (back on topic! Sorry for derailing my own thread!), I just adore it. It is structured enough to provide the architectural touch some outfits need, and while any leather is slightly stiff to begin with, the blazer was barely so and loosened up with just one wear so it feels like an old friend - but still looks new. I carry a large leather tote much of the time, and the blazer seems to suffer no ill effects from carrying leather straps on either the shoulder or the arm. Some lambskins are so delicate that they will rub with even minimal wear.&nbsp;</p> <p>I have tried it with midi skirts, dresses and pants, and they all work beautifully. It is just that perfect length that can go with either dresses or pants, which is rare for me to find. I generally prefer long jackets with pants and shorter with dresses.</p> <p>Anyway, as I said earlier, the Studio Blazer from WHBM is a winner for me in any iteration, so it just makes sense that the leather version works as well. It was a good investment, and I am very pleased I purchased it. I couldn't think; I couldn't feel my arms, and I was becoming light-headed. I was shaking so badly I could harly walk. The officer said she knew I wasn't impaired due to the eye test, but they had to have me take a field sobriety test, which I failed miserably. I could hardly walk, let alone balance. So instead I offered to blow a breathalizer (of course, I blew a .00, as I haven't had a drink in weeks, possibly months), and I offered a blood test to prove I don't do street drugs, and I gave them my phone and my password to prove I wasn't on it while driving. The other vehicle hit me behind the back passenger door, but I am not sure blame can be allocated one way or the other; I think we both made poor decisions or weren't seeing clearly.</p> <p>I haven't driven since the accident, but I have a feeling I'll be sticking close to home for a rather long while and off of major highways. The accident took place at the end of an off ramp from a major highway, and given the speed limits (I had just come out of the stop), I am not sure how a collision of that magnitude could have occurred, but that is for investigators to look into. And not that I am a perfect driver (no one is), but I haven't had so much as a parking or speeding ticket for well over 20 years, let alone an accident or even a fender--bender. But I guess that's why they're called accidents - they can happen to anyone at any time. : (</p> <p>On a completely frivolous and shallow note, the blazer and I are fine, as were most things in my car (I had seen my mum and she had given me some photos and documents from my childhood). I was in an auto accident Friday night, and haven't been feeling much like surfing lately. Fortunately, I am okay, but I am deeply concerned about the other person and my car is totaled.</p> <p>Regarding the blazer, I was actually wearing it at the time of the accident because I bought it almost immediately after getting Angie's blessing, I do have a photo of me in it in my phone, but right now I don't have my phone (I voluntarily turned it over to police to prove I was NOT on it while driving). It is the WHBM Studio Blazer, and it is absolutely beautiful. It fits the same as other Studio blazers if you are familiar (I realize a lot of people here don't like WHBM, though), so it can be purchased in the same size you would normally wear. My only caution would be that the sleeves run very slightly short. I tend to have average to shorter arms, and the sleeves are about perfect on me, but a person with longer arms might want to try it first. Of course, the sleeve length goes up with size.&nbsp;</p> <p>It is a lambskin, incredibly soft, and fits me to perfection, either buttoned or unbuttoned. It is just fitted enough to be flattering. The buttons are silver, which for right now go well with my style. As many of you mentioned, the buttons could be easily chaged to gold or anything else a person wanted - even black to match the jacket.
