Skinny jeans are my hands down favorite jeans to wear. I ordered the Rag and Bone skinnies in red from the NAS too. I also have white skinnies. I am 51 with 5 kids ages 11 down to 3 and love to look stylish and on trend without looking like I am trying to look young. I pair skinnies with longer tops and boots or flats. I have one plum pair and one in a dark burgundy. </p> <p>Rae mentioned some of my stylish sisters on YLF -- last week Vicki was wearing printed skinnies and totally pulling it off. I can't really say there are rules except showing a lot of skin (minis, short shorts) is dangerous territory.</p> <p>It's interesting also to note that where you live plays a part. MaryK, Vicki and I all live in California where I think the eternal mindset is "young" so no one blinks twice at shorts on older women, skinny jeans, trendy wedges, etc.</p> <p>Another one to watch, although she is younger than I by a decade at least, is Deborah from Austrailia. She has quite a fashion-forward style but always looks lady-like.</p> <p>Sometimes I experiment with a trend quite a bit and finally discover, it's not for me. I tend to wear them with more classic cuts such as the infamous white button down and a v-neck sweater if it's cool enough. I think the nod to classic and to a trend makes it look youthful, but not "young". </p> <p>That being said my hubby doesn't "get" the "blue legs" as he like to call them. He's never accused me of dressing like my daughters though!
