Could be denim, black or a color that is in the pattern. Also solid colored cardigans if you run cold or deal with air conditioning. </p> <p>If your prints are in your bottoms then solid colored tops and cardigans/jackets will work with your prints. </p> <p>A few solid items will go a long way and they don't all have to be neutral. Solid items in your favorite colors will pull together a capsule wardrobe with a lot of prints. And none of which exactly works together. Making a real capsule wardrobe impossible.</p> <p>I was interested to see what you think I really need by way of mix-n-match staples? Real, undating essentials. I really need to make a list - otherwise I'll just keep buying more patterns!!! It's a problem.</p> <p>Note that it's late summer here, so turtlenecks can be crossed out (since it was basically the only item suggested across 3 other forums.) </p>
