And maybe it strikes the right fun-but-modest note? The neckline detail looks like it ties in nicely with the funky pants. Runners-up for me are the two white tops. My date’s comment on this outfit (at a place with a better mirror) a few days ago: “you must like being an exhibitionist or something, sitting up in the window half naked like that”. A blunt statement, but I know many here also don’t like short shorts. It’s partially a cultural thing for him, partially the way his family drove home that part of the culture, and honestly seems to also be a possessive bone that shows up around me at times. Whatever it is, I was serious above when I said I don’t want to deal with it tonight, would rather wear something other than a crop top—even one I’d be comfortable wearing in Berlin.</p> <p>Hope that isn’t tmi. I said I wouldn’t bring them without knowing what I’d wear them with, but I lied. Actually, I ordered some tops here I could wear with them. </p> <p>Can you make out the different tops well enough to comment? I’m trying to make the most of available light in my Airbnb’s only mirror. Backing up gets better lighting, moving in gets better definition. </p> <p>The modified tree pose is to show the bottom half the pants. I didn’t do it in all of them, but I think you get the idea. It is not a match with the purple linen swing top, but in the same family. That might be too much linen in one outfit though. </p> <p>Now that the pants have been tailored to fit, I like the blue silk crop top (7&amp;8) a little better, and I found a black crop top (11&amp;12) that might work. Those could be “back in Berlin” options. For tonight, I’m dealing with a certain someone’s old man sense of modesty. He’s a workout fiend &amp; likes my abs, but I don’t care to hear what he’d have to say about me showing them. The relationship is pretty much toast, but I’d like to get through the next few days here, so I’ll probably go along to get along. </p> <p>20 is WIW today for the archives, with the purple eyelet skirt. </p> <p>The black silk shirt in 3&amp;4 will probably come along to be tossed over any of these to leave the venue, because it will be cool out. </p>
