Lint makes me NUTS. I'm OK with it on my play clothes/around-the-farm gear, because I'm just as likely to be covered in bits of hay or grass clippings (how they migrate into my bra lining is anybody's guess).

But not on my work wear or good clothes. It's one thing to find a stray hair from Tango the goat while I'm sitting in the office (that makes me smile), but no more. And as a few other posters mentioned, coats seem to be lint magnets! I have a black wool Mackage coat that gets attention from the lint roller every time I wear it. It attracts lint from the scarves I wear with it, from the sweaters I wear under it, and from whatever is floating around in the air.

Cute picture, Suz! (I know that logo very, very well. haha)

Jaileen: I hear you on the vacuum canister! Mine fills up so quickly, it's crazy. In our next home, it's going to be shoes off, I think, to cut down on grit, but I will always wear something on my feet because of the fur. I love dogs, but yikes, the shedding!

A friend who wears nothing but gear recently returned a Patagonia fleece jacket because it shed all over her clothes. The jacket was bright green, and everything else was black, so it really stood out.

I have to have a certain tolerance for dog hair. I have two dogs and one them sheds a lot. I see how much the vacuum picks up every week. Emptying out the canister is morbidly fascinating. I'm surprised he still has any fur.

It might be one of the reasons I don't care for leggings, as a matter of fact. So many of them collect lint!

I have a medium tolerance for wrinkles, similar to yours. I hate going out of the house all wrinkly and don't mind ironing to look crisp, but as wrinkles develop during the day, I am fine with that -- assuming the wrinkling is moderate, that is. I have in fact owned items that drove me insane with wrinkling and that I quickly let go of.

I find that denim pants are good for warding off lint, and that might be one reason I wear them a lot. I tend not to wear my wovens around the cat, who is cream coloured and sheds barely at all in winter and like a demon in summer. Thank goodness more of my summer clothes are light or white.

And yes, my husband comes from New England. What can I say?

I've learned to have a high tolerance for wrinkles. I like to iron my clothes but it is hot here & I need to wear linen throughout summer so I've accepted the fact I'm going to look wrinkled at the end of the day (my clothes too) . No tolerance for lint - it looks like my clothes haven't been cared for.

Low lint tolerance here! Even though I have kitties . It ruins my day to get to work and suddenly in bright daylight I can see lint of cat hair on my trousers. One kitty winds around my legs as I'm packing up my lunch or whatever.

And travel sometimes is bad, with restaurant linens that shed lint on your lap.
I have always used those lint brushes rather than rollers.

Very tolerant of wrinkles as I hate ironing. Less tolerance for lint! I got a black coat from J Crew this year which I love except for it being a lint magnet. I see the same coat on others in other colors, and it looks pristine. It's a bit ironic since I always eschewed black coats before, despite living in NYC - I should have gotten grey or a non neutral. The coat was such an investment for me that I just have to care for it more diligently.

Ha, I never noticed much lint on my clothes until my daughter's arrival four months ago - those little terry onesies shed lint like crazy! But so far, I haven't purged anything for that reason - one black dress comes to mind that might be a candidate, but I'd need to find a suitable replacement first . . . until then, I just keep a lint-roller handy!

No tolerance at all. I culled more items that I want to admit because they were lint magnets. I keep lint rollers everywhere, in my closet, in my office desk drawer, in the entryway of my apartment for last brush before leaving, a small sized one in the handbag.. I was the happiest when I finally found black winter wool coat that is not attracting lint.

Oh man, I hate lint. Two of my R13 jeans have a coating that attracts everything and I'm always attacking them with a tape roller. And I really need to dry mop my house more often- there's cat hair everywhere. But I can't avoid it, with all black clothes, so I just hope it's less visible from a distance.

Next time I'm getting a black cat. What were we thinking??

My partner also wears all black and the cat sits on him for an extensive farewell scritch every morning. He's always running out the door to teach covered in cat hair... and he gets prickly when I offer him the roller. But I think the image of a gothy college professor covered in cat hair is adorable, at least!

I hate discovering it on me once I've left the house and am in bright sunlight. I feel messy and poorly groomed. That said, I am likely a major offender as I have a big fluffy Norwegian Forest cat who leaves hair around like tumbleweeds on an abandoned Western movie set. I know exactly what you mean about these pants - I have a pair from BR in that fabric and the only thing saving them is that they are navy, which seems to blur the lint a little.
