It is hard to find the right fit though, because my hips are so narrow, but I have had some luck at BR in the past. I have a pair in grey and a pair in navy pinstripe, both are three-season wool. </p> <p>I probably wear my wide legs a tad on the short side though... As long as you wear them with a more form-fitting top it can work really well in my opinion. I've got a pair of brown tweedy winter pants (not the itchy kind, a very soft fabric actually) and they look quite elegant.</p> <p>The extra material doesn't bother me at all, and I wear them for all sorts of ocassions. But I only feel that way for the first few minutes of wearing them. Once on, I don't think twice about the extra fabric swishing around my ankles. But, then again, I'm not out running errands or shopping in these pants. I do think they make me look taller and better balanced. </p>
