I hear you on this! I wish clothing tags had measurements instead of arbitrary sizes, personally.

Ugh, what a bummer! I've ranged so many sizes, even within the same brand AND the same style name. What's the point of sizes at all, Retail Gods? Sometimes I even go home and check if a store is using Euro sizing without my knowledge (how could I possibly be a size 10 when I'm a 2 in so many other places??), but that's never been the answer - it's always just random sizing. :T

Oh, how I sympathize. Isn't it aggravating?

One season, I ranged from a size 2 to a size 10 at JCrew. I returned so many items I was worried I'd get flagged as a serial returner, then I got mad because it's hardly my fault.

I haven't ordered from them since. It's just not worth it to me. If it's not in the store to try on, I just pass on it.

Sorry you're dealing with this:(

It's so frustrating! And it's really a drag when you want to buy online but have no idea at all what size to order, and then you'll have to pay to return the size(s) that don't fit!

I have tried on the same jeans in the same wash at Gap and an 8 was snug and the 6 fit perfectly. I was there with friends recently and brought 3-4 pairs of the same size and cut for a friend to try on and she had the same thing. One pair was way too big in the waist and another too snug in the same size. Luckily one pair was Just Right.

Happens to me all the time. Within brands, between brands... it's all just guesswork. At the Gap, I wear 2, 4 or 6 depending on the style. Totally confusing and irritating.

I experience the same thing at H&M all the time (as a 24 year old slim hourglass). At most stores I take two sizes of every item into the changing room with me, but at H&M I'll often take 3 or 4 sizes of the same item to the changing room, which is also a huge pain because my store limits how many items you can take into the room at once. It's frustrating, but I just have to ignore the wildly inconsistent sizing and figure out what fits best (if anything). When I don't feel up for the challenge, I simply don't visit H&M, because I know that every single time I go that store tries my patience. Ugh.

Just know that you are definitely not alone! And that no matter your age, size, or body shape, EVERYONE has struggles finding the right fit. Nobody is exempt.

So I go to Zara today and try a pair of ''''''''chinos''''''' that were actually one of those funny wide trousers that look like they will be high-waisted but of course not, they have a low rise and then it feels like you should be filling the front side when you don't even have something to fill it with, and they hang low. These were a size 36 (UK 8, US 4), and I think actually they were a bit big on me because I needed a belt. At the same time, I pick a pair of skinnies in a size 38 (UK 10, US 6) just to discover that they are too snug on me to be able to walk in them. How can these things happen? How is it that a 23 years old slim hourglass is having serious problems when trying to find a pair of white pants? Supposedly they design the clothes for the hourglass shape? Hahahaha. Yeah, sure.

I think they design the clothes for... I don't know. I don't even like the way they look on the mannequins (they should be happy they don't need to walk in them) or on the models. They NEVER fit properly. They are either too big or too tight, uncomfortable and generally unflattering. I've been looking for them for weeks. Seriously, I just abandoned the idea today. No more searching for white jeans. I'm fed up of them already.

Sorry about this ladies, but I just thought I had to share my feelings of disappointment. Who knows, maybe there's someone today who feels like me, and in her insides she's too screaming something like 'I HATE the fashion world!'

PS: I know I could always go to Levi's or Burberry to get a nice pair of jeans, but I'm a student and I don't have such a quantity of money to spare (100 bucks for a pair of white jeans? no, thank you!)
