I think for many women the breasts get larger after menopause, weight gain doesn't help either, of course, but my weight has stayed fairly consistent. Mine just got so heavy and uncomfortable (and hot!) that I couldn't stand it. Now I feel back to normal. I am always open to questions about it.

Your insurance carrier will likely have specific recommendations for reduction surgery, as does Medicare. The only thing that has stopped me over the years is the cost. Of course, every major surgery carries some risk, but this particular one has a long and successful history. When I think of all the money I have spent on bras . . .

Thank you all so much for the good suggestions. I have started "the big big bra hunt". ;)

Jaime, thanks, I have ordered 3 different styles from Evelyn Bobbie.

Jen, Style Fan and RobinF, thanks for the info on the surgery. I have read a few articles that said it has the highest satisfaction rating of any elective surgery. I will be giving this some serious thought because these things are bothering me a lot more than they used to! Over the past 4 years with the pandemic and spouse cancer that I experienced, I gained about 16 pounds. I've now lost most of it, give or take a few, but I've come out different. Apparently my breasts are hanging on to more weight than they used to. There is the age thing too. I've hired a trainer and she says that as muscle mass goes up, fat goes down. If these girls aren't down some by January it will be time to seriously consider surgery. I'll be studying up on it until then. Would it be okay if I message you though the board at some point?

I use Sugar Candy wireless bras to sleep in, and sometimes I'll wear them during the day as well. They aren't as supporting as a wired bra, but they are really, really comfortable. I'm a 34HH (UK size - 34L US). I am also seriously considering a reduction surgery but it's not a decision to make lightly.

I am a 38G. Last year I had so much shoulder trouble that all of my bras became uncomfortable, actually painful after a few hours. I found the Calvin Klein Invisibles uplift wireless bra at a reasonable price on Amazon, also Macy's, and ended up buying half a dozen of them in different colors. They are never going to be as supportive as a wired bra. But they kept me in place and were tremendously comfortable. A bonus was how smooth they look from the back! I buy the version with the very wide shoulder straps. They come with removable pads, which I immediately remove. Hehe. They're also very easy to put on, I just step into them. They are not adjustable in any way.

Swimming and physical therapy helped my shoulder tremendously, and now I can wear a tighter, more supportive, but still wireless bra. I have been very happy with the Chantelle Norah and C Magnifique. But so expensive!

One question...does it keep things separated? I know cleavage is desired by some but I just can't tolerate the feel of the girls touching!

It is not as supportive as I would like (I think I should have sized down), but is still worth considering. I am going to try another of their bras soon. Otherwise, will be following with great interest to see what else is suggested.

Underwires are really bothering me lately. I've always just accepted them as a necessary evil, but a magazine article listed this Wacoal bra as the "most comfortable bra". Well, it didn't say for what sizes. Most of the reviews on the Nords website don't say what size the reviewer is either, but the reviews are not very good.

But, it got me wondering if a wireless bra would be possible. I'm a 36/DD or a 34/DDD and it's really hard to imagine wireless keeping these girls contained without being a compression sports bra. And yes, that "blessed" is facetious...my other fantasy is reduction surgery but I'm too much of a wimp to do that.
