I think Imogen's article is right. When I had a pixie people always said it suited me, and sure enough, I just measured and I have 5 cm from earlobe to chin, and I have big eyes. Everything that Imogen says makes sense. Like a lot of others here, I can see you with an Ashley Simpson-type cut, or the one that Jules suggests from Vidal Sassoon. (BTW, I don't know if you have a Vidal Sassoon salon near you but that's where I got my pixie cut and they are unbelievably great with short cuts). Honestly, i had a a tough time with a pixie - my hair tended to be far more sleek and stubborn than I wanted, and it took a lot of work to rough it up. Plus, I felt I looked not just butch - which I wouldn't mind - but actually like a guy. I say go for it. I think your features are plenty delicate, and you would not look butch. I speak as a pixie with androgynous style. Cool that your DH likes short hair -- so does mine, as he thinks I have a nicely shaped head. </p> <p>The one thing I'd add to the mix is that I have a really good stylist who uses a razor to cut my hair, so I get trims once every ten weeks, which is liberating. I think the use of the razor is key as I have had plenty of good stylists in the past, but none who wielded a razor. </p>
