Yes, travel is fraught and covid is simply exhausting. Sigh. RobinF - Thank you, I am truly surprised in a good way about that shot. Helena - I brought that hat because it is foldable, waterproof and convenient, but my family didn't like it at all! I cannot wait to tell them what fashion no nothings they are . Janet - We actually found NYC super covid friendly. We got our post flight covid test at a mobile van - took a few minutes and gave us peace of mind while staying with MIL. Tons of restaurants have outdoor seating, which has transformed the look of the streets, and overall the city is much less crowded that I have ever seen (could be August too). We did go into stores that looked uncrowded and well masked, which were most and overall had a delightful time. Irina - Thank you, it was good to see them at last. Christina F. - Greece is actually well set up for covid from what I remember - all the outdoor activities and restaurants. I hope you have wonderful and safe trip.  UmmLila - Thank you! I guess I picked the happy shots . Oh Laurie how frustrating! My sister's family also has tickets for around then (postponed from last year) but as of now they would have to be in isolation for a week (as we are now), if they are let in at all. I hope things turn around, it is not like covid hasn't surprised us before. MsMaven - Each hat compliment makes me smile. Thank you! Jaileen - They do don't they! Cardiff girl - Thank you! I think the news from Israel will start to improve with the booster shots, or so I am hoping.  Synne - Thanks!  Aquamarine - Thank you. Apparently I hide my stress well . Oh Brooklyn that is rough, but on the other hand admirable, as is your country's covid response in general. Our borders were closed for a time and it was very hard for this small country of determined travelers. I will say that the masking and testing is not as bad as it sounds, at least from my it could be much worse perspective. Angie - I know, can you believe those little ones turned into these big ones ? I did think of you traveling during your stress and grief with the added burden of covid. I am glad you made it through with your spirit intact - you are an inspiration. And thank you for the amazing compliment - I will be floating on it as I pace around my house during our post-trip isolation . We are not allowed to leave the country without government permission, which is hard to obtain (and if we do go, it’s very hard to get back). So seeing your photos gives me a ray of hope about returning to some sort of normality (even with the new regime of masks, airport tests and other Covid safe measures). Fabulous! Looks like such a great trip. You look wonderful in all of these. We have planned to spend a week in NYC in September and I’m crossing fingers we are able to do fun things. We thought about a bigger trip but decided on a low-commitment, no-flying getaway. It’s only a 2 hour train ride or a 3-4 hour drive, so easy to bail and come home if things go haywire. I have a feeling our Christmas plans to visit Europe again will be dashed. I’m so tired of COVID-19. Milk Bar (ice cream) was doing a promotion getting passerbys to sample their product and filming their reaction. My kids loved participating! Preppy Pear - It was actually a great trip in moments, and will become even greater in retrospect no doubt! kkards - Yes sun protecting swimwear is about as gear as I get, although I do wear pink more than you might think!
