I rarely wear pants anymore and I'm still (unfortunately) in school. What changed was I started caring more about how I looked and decided I was going to make an occasion to wear my clothes rather than waiting for one. So if you really like the dress and want it in your closet, I think you could totally wear it to uni! What immediately popped into my head was to put a jean jacket over top. Another idea for summer is a pastel blazer. I found places to wear it... Put a denim jacket over it and why couldn't you wear it to class?
