I think revisiting them is a good idea. I can relate to being tempted by price, but usually it's better if I leave that out of the equation, if at all possible. I personally won't buy ballet flats anymore, they just don't stay on me feet.

Such wisdom
Retail gal nailed it - am I being tempted by price - yes and no - am also being tempted by label and the fact that it is a ballet flat with a heel which you never find. I don't know if I would pay full price.
It not about the money but making more conscious shopping decision and not buying for the sake of buying. I will go back today and revisit with and outfit I would possibly wear the shoes with.

These are lovely. I'm also not a ballet pump girl, but I do have one pair that fit me nicely and fill a niche in my summer wardrobe. They're a useful thing to have.

Do they look good on your feet? Do they fit well? Are they in good condition? Do they pass the "three ways to style" test? If it's yes to all four, I say buy them, because $50 for a pair of Manolos is a bargain.

I would jump on these if they fit and were comfortable, but I love ballet flats and wear them most of the time. Leopard print is very neutral and goes with almost everything...the only thing I wouldn't pair them with is a patterned bottom, but some patterned tops work well. $50 is a steal, but you know if you are being tempted by the price. Ask if you would consider them at full price.

Those are nice shoes. I also like the heel. The front part is a forward thinking cut, if you will, so I think these are a nice flat for a clunky shoe girl. I'm a clunky shoe girl myself.

They are lovely. Did you try them on, and were they comfortable?

I have several pairs of ballet flats and find them pretty useful, though I will say that I am less into them lately than I was the year before last. I wear them with skinnies, ankle pants and rolled-hem jeans or chinos. Sometimes with long shorts, too. I have a hard time wearing them with skirts--my skirts don't seem to be the right silhouette, usually.

If you ever find yourself wanting a more refined, classic looking flat shoe, these would serve nicely. If not, maybe you'd be better off saving the $50 and continuing to keep an eye out for a leopard print shoe in a style that feels more you.

They are beautiful shoes, modern classic. I would make the decision based o n how much you think you would wear them or how they go with your wardrobe. If they can make a few outfits and you are excited to wear them, then yes.

So earlier today I was at my favorite consignment store buying some new brooches and low and behold they were having a weekend sale. Everything 60% off.
And over in the high end shoe section this pair of shoes was in my size
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Manolo.....und-Toe-/3
These shoes would be just over $50.
here is the hesitation. Ballets flats are something I don't normally wear - I have one pair I love because they have a small heel like these shoes otherwise my feet do not like them.
These would be a huge wildcard for me as I tend to be clunky shoe girl - Yet at the same time I have been searching high and low for a leopard print shoe that even halfway appeals to me. These intrigue me.

Thoughts

Update
after reading the wise words of this blog and going back to visit and trying on (they felt wonderful) - I decided I was falling into consumerism with the purchase of these shoes. They were not organized emotional shopping and if I'm struggling to see how i would wear them no matter the cost it is consumerism and that is the cycle I am working on breaking.
Thank you all for chiming in.
