I did a closet edit and let go of at least a half dozen old dresses that now don’t appeal to me anymore — prints are too loud, too bodycon, etc. </p> <p>Joy, skirts are easier for me to find too, but in our climate, it really pays off to have one-and done dress solutions that are casual and lightweight and don’t bind at the waist as skirts may do. Many are bare somewhere… short or deep V neck, spaghetti straps with a low neckline. I am too old to bare anything and find skirts more forgiving and versatile for summer. I especially like denim skirts and recently bought two in white and a cargo faded blue one. I did not want them to be body con. I found these to be what I'd call gently fitted, and I'd say they're true to size. That’s almost unprecedented. I tried on the dress again and played with the various ways you can wear it, and landed on a couple that work for me. It helps a lot that my husband likes it. LOL</p> <p>Sal, long inseam shorts are kind of hard to find so I’m especially liking those 10” inseam corduroys. They are lightweight with just enough stretch. Maybe could be a titch looser in the thighs but I can feel them loosening with a try-on, so I think they’ll be the kind of thing that gives a bit with a little wear. I’ll try them around the house to be sure. I love that mint color! </p> <p>I was fully expecting to send back a lot of this order, but I have to say it’s surpassed my expectations. I already have two workout tops in teal — I think one is ten years old, from Target! But it’s one of my absolute best colors, and that strap-back tee nicely doubles as regular casual wear and doesn’t look like gear. </p> <p>The cobalt blue is so good too. The tank may be just a little narrow in the straps (showing too much bra perhaps?), I need to try it on with a sports bra to be sure. I have to say, they seem to be making some decent cuts with good fits and in nice colors for me. Lots of teal and blue and other saturated colors, instead of the colors at places like Lululemon that have left me cold for the last few seasons (so much earthtone and pink). </p> <p>I’m also always on a quest to find good casual summer dresses, and they have a nice one.
