There was nothing particularly wrong with them (other than the pattern mismatch), but there was nothing WOW about them either. They did the job of being leopard booties and nothing more. Also, the gap isn't that bad, but can you wear tights with them to "thicken" your ankles, and provide less contrast? One way to look at it, if they are comfortable, they are ON TREND and will probably make your outfits pop like mad! They do have this hard to find balance of edgy refinement. That is what hit me as soon as I looked at them. They are not at all over the top.
