Oh goodie! Thanks, ladies --- I might just have to bite the bullet in a month or two (I'm trying to at least skew close to SYC until then).

MsKatieKat, thanks for the hardware warning --- I'll have to check about repairs with the store (whether they undertake them at all --- I'm not sure I want pale suede shoes on the roadside cobbler's last!)

I also have the Stratham Heights boots (thanks to goldenpig's inspiration) and like them too! I'm also a fan of timberland's ethics. I've worn the boots 50 times so far this fall/winter, and the quality is excellent so far, plus they're comfy!

I have the Timberland Stratham Heights boots and they are very comfortable! Neat that they make Mary Janes with the similar design! I may have to check them out!

I've never tried the Earthkeepers Timberland brand but I've owned a few pairs of Timberland boots before. They were quite comfortable, though the zipper broke because I have muscular calves.

The shoes you showed us are cute! It's worth a shot! I'm not sure if you have fussy feet like myself but back when my feet are less than fussy, I thought Timberlands were amazingly comfortable.

Anyone have any experience with this brand? Or the mother brand (Timberland) alone? I'm trying to decide if they're worth putting on my 'watch list'.

I went window shopping yesterday, and fell in lust a little with these:
http://shop.timberland.com/pro.....d=12471059
and
http://shop.timberland.com/pro.....d=12474427

I've a friend who gave their signature yellow boots RAVE reviews (and she has small fussy feet like me). I'm also enamoured of the idea of using recycled materials in production -- always a sucker for these! BUT....These are VERY expensive for me --- I didn't even dare to try them on. Which I'm now regretting. But can anyone speak for/against their quality and comfort? And of course, feel free to dissuade me if you see the frump factor at work!
