Yay!</p> https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/tidewater-va-friends----tour-the-uscga-eagle#post-1690599 Thu, 07 Jul 2016 15:03:43 +0000 Laurie 1690599@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ <p>Hi everyone,<br />My absence lately is largely due to the recent departure of our younger son, who is in Swab Summer (boot camp) at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. &nbsp; One of the most amazing things he will do both this summer and next summer is sail on the Eagle, &nbsp;America's oldest tall ship, and the only one still under active military command. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>When Eagle is in port it is open to the public for tours. &nbsp; I encourage everyone to make a visit if you live near one of the ports, meet the cadets and swabs (the most polite young people you will ever encounter) and see this beautiful ship. &nbsp; Ben will be in the first phase, embarking from Norfolk and the tour times are below. &nbsp;The dates for the next 2 ports are also listed, but I'm not 100% sure of tour times, etc..</p> <p>I'll have more details in the coming days, so PM me if you are interested. &nbsp;I'm sure it will be well publicized in local news/papers, etc...&nbsp;</p> <p>Norfolk, VA - July 23, 24 &nbsp;- Tours 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.</p> <p>Salem, MA - July 30, 31&nbsp;</p> <p>NYC - August 6,7</p> <p>Semper paratus! </p>
