Finally it seems that the medical community is admitting that in many cases, what they thought was a type cancer, is not actually cancer, and in those cases, there is no need to have invasive surgery or chemo.</p> <p>From the NY Times "<br /> Instead of calling it “encapsulated follicular variant of papillary<br /> thyroid carcinoma,” they now call it “noninvasive follicular thyroid neoplasm with papillary-like nuclear features,” or NIFTP.
