I know exactly how you feel, it's been the same here. I'm thoroughly sick of my winter clothes but it's not really warm enough yet for spring. However, the next few days are supposed to be really warm here, 70's, and I am hoping that will shake me out of my rut.

Spring is nonexistent here. It is a pretend season. It is lovely right now but it will not last. I still have to wear my light weight (winter weight to most of you) down parka to walk my dog in the evening. I try to leave my hat and gloves at home because it is April. I will probably get frostbite on my fingers.
I need to keep sweaters out for awhile. Probably until July. I didn`t put them away at all last year.
However, I am loving what I am seeing in the stores. I bought a pair of pants while grocery shopping (Joe Fresh) and I really could have bought more but Mr Style Fan was in the car getting impatient. How do I explain to him all the clothing amongst the lettuce, tomatoes and bananas?

My Spring clothes are mostly tucked away still. We have had a few days where temperatures sneak into "Spring" territory, but the mornings are still freezing. Maybe next week I will find some motivation to start the switch.

My Spring/Summer wardrobe refresh has been an update of my shoes. My foot injury back in October caused all sorts of fit issues with my current collection. I found some nice flat sneakers, and I managed to find a couple pairs of low heels also. I have been half-heartedly hunting for wide leg crops. So far, my search has resulted in one pair that was fair, but the color was not good for the rest of my wardrobe. I'm not sure how much more time and energy I want to put into the hunt. I think my focus will be on dresses.

Well, I'm looking forward to wearing 2 blue shirt dresses I got last year, as well as my whites - a new jean skirt, old jeans, 2 pairs of shorts, a jean jacket. While I wait for the weather to warm up, I'm mixing a small blush capsule (2 lace tank tops, a slouchy cotton sweater, and chinos) with my blacks.

It's time for a pedi and some colour on my toe! They've been nekkid since October!

We are having similar up and down weather too. My stuff is all out and ready to go, but I'm not into wearing most of it yet. And it dawned on me yesterday , after reading lots of posts here and on Angie's blog, that what is in stores this spring just isn't me. I think I'm taking a pass on the rest of the season in terms of buying anything .

Last year is the first time I put away a few sweaters to bring out in Spring. Usually I only pack away deep winter and high summer items. I spend much of the winter in skinnies, sweaters, winter boots and coats. After 5-6 months I'm ready for a change. This year I pulled all of my warmer weather stuff out including footwear the first weekend of April. I knew if I didn't have at the ready for those odd nice days I'd virtually miss my opportunity for Spring dressing as it turns to summer here pretty quickly. Feels good! Happy Spring!

The news, still grim.

The overall crummy weather -- with random gorgeous days that make me feel unprepared since I've only done half-arsed closet assessment/try-ons.

The 6+ months of tried-and-true outfits so that I'm bored with shedding a layer (or two) and wearing the same old.

But like it or not warm weather is a-coming [know the opposite is true for some of our reverse-season members] and I appreciate the inspirational posts!

I did get motivated to take a few things to the tailor...return a blush jersey bomber jacket that I let a friend flatter me into buying a while back [color was insanely good, fit issues not worth tailoring]...and steam a few tops that I just washed and put away last year.

I know I feel better when I'm pulled together so: onward and again, thanks!
