My YSL shoe-booties were found at a hole-in-the-wall consignment shop in a small town in east Texas. It read very boho based on the featured items in the windows, and yet I found YSL shoe-booties, rarely worn, on a sale rack for $8 (eight dollars). </p> <p>My Celine Edge bag was found in a Goodwill located pretty much on the Texas-Oklahoma state line in the middle of NOWHERE with a bunch of farm supply stores and feed stores and FFA and a cattle sale barn. I don't know how on earth a New With Tags Celine bag came to be there, but it lives in my right hand now LOL</p> <p>It's kind of become a bit of a hobby for me over the last few years, one that definitely takes a lot of time. When I was at her house though, I had the thrifting itch and convinced her to go with me to Value village even though it was about to close. </p> <p>I went through the tops, the pants, the skirts - nothing. With 15 minutes left, I had a funny feeling there was a Smythe blazer waiting for me there.<br /> I kept pushing hangers aside, expecting to find it. And... There it was! Amongst all the 1997 black boxy Louben Blazers and the too-tight Garage clothing cheap corduroy numbers, I saw it: a pristine new Smythe Les Vestes heathered grey pagoda blazer in my size - for $17!!</p> <p>I rushed to try it on. It is sharp shouldered, immaculate and slides down my frame perfectly. It is a linen and viscose blend that makes it perfect for all seasons. I feel sleek, sharp and edgy in it. I snatched it up!</p> <p>Then because I had 5 more minutes - I headed to the cardigan section (I have recently been enamoured with quality menswear cardigans as a counterpoint to my feminine pieces.) And I spotted it - an heirloom quality cardigan from Eaton's men's department, made in England, in the yummiest shade of goldenrod. The workmanship is breathtaking - satin lined pockets, beautifully inset arms, seamed pockets, beautifully finished seams. Or is perfectly oversized and hangs like a dream. And I don't think it's ever been worn!</p> <p>Both pieces with be perfect for my fall capsule (as I returned some of the toppers that didn't for well from my Winners splurge.) Can't wait to make these workhorses!
