Ha! I was going to say that I would not have resisted that skirt (ok granted resistance to interesting thrift finds is not my strong point) but other better enablers have preceded me! But with or without it a fabulous bunch of finds.

Fab haul! You have nailed cozy for sure! I second the enabling for the skirt: Over another skirt could be really cool, providing some interesting layers and textures.

How about a skirt? You can layer the gauzy skirt over one of your other dark skirts

Could be a fab layered look!

Hmmm, I feel the exact shape of my legs is not information the general public needs access to, lol.

Oh thank you!! The striped top is SUPER old (Ann Taylor??) but it’s appealing to me again.

The issue with the organza skirt is what to wear under it. I mean, it is COMPLETELY transparent. A maxi-length slip (does that exist?) is the only thing I can see not looking bizarre. But I love the idea of it with the dogs hoodie.

Ooooh! Good stash, Cookie! That will help amuse you in polar vortex weather.

Fun to have shopped your closet only to discover more fab stuff!

That striped wrap top in #5 is KILLER sensational. I have yet to see somewhere wear a body con wrap top as well as you!

Hard to get an accurate read on the top in #6 to #8. I like the side party action! And the skirt is great on you, as you know.

Enabling you to go back for the $5 skirt. It's kin to your tulle skirt. Try your fab red doggie hoodie over it - or even with the new sneakers ;)

Oh I forgot: I had been wanting sneakers that were more wintry in look and feel, and these blue-ish tweed Allbirds that fit perfectly appeared before me while I was in the checkout line for the green top. Sold! I wish the soles were not white but they feel great.

The word of the month is: COZY.

1. Red-blue-purple scarf made in Guatemala of the softest bamboo-based chenille. I have ruled that more outerwear accessories are always acceptable purchases.

2. No-label gloves. Feels like wool. Possibly homemade?? They don’t quite go with that scarf but do with others I own. I love them.

3-4. Another scarf/shawl thing. From what little info I can glean about the label, it is from Munich, Germany.

5. I think I thrifted this skirt in some sort of fugue state back in December because I forgot all about it, then found it, threw it in the wash, and wore it to Target, where I had a ridiculous look on my face. It’s by Pact and is made of soft thick gauze that is somehow cozy rather than gauzy. Pockets!

6-8. This top (brand Habitat) … I took a chance that it would go with the infamous tube skirt and I’m not sure whether the colors harmonize the way I hoped but I cannot seem to get the phone to capture them accurately. It has a handy pocket on one side and a zipper on the other that I like partly open, but it would still fit if I closed it even though the labeled size is extra-small and I am obviously not. I’m uncertain about this experiment but it was extremely inexpensive.

9. RESISTED: It killed me to leave behind this $5 blue silk organza skirt with a $350 price tag still on it, but I was unable to figure out the role a completely see-through floor-length organza skirt was going to play in my life.

10. Pretty sure this owl plate is going to be one of my favorite finds of 2026 even though I got it the first week of January. From a distinctive signature on the back I was able to ID the artist who made it. I did end up giving it to my mother at least for the time being. She loves it too!
