I like it as is! It would look great over white tank/white capri leggings or black tank/black capri leggings. Cutting it shorter might make it appear wider, so pin and try on first. It's a gorgeous color on you, and I love the lace detail.

I love the color and the lace. I would definitely try without the belt and a slightly shorter tunic length. Can you pin it to show us?

Good idea to make a tunic of it. But before you do, how about trying some shorter-length leggings under there first?

That lace is lovely and the colour very unusual --- what a lucky find!

I agree it's such a pretty colour on you. I would try it without the belt and play with some different lengths before you cut it off. You may find that it needs to be taken in a bit at the sides too. That would give you the opportunity to add some side slits if you wanted too. It's certainly a nice piece and worth a few minor alterations to make it something you'll really love.

Oooh oooh, I love that neckline! Soo flattering! Great colour (color) and style, I agree it would look great shortened to a tunic. Maybe a different belt, or no belt, rather than the matchy matchy one that comes with it. What a great find, and for a great price too, you're a fab bargain hunter

Thanks, I was thinking shortening would be a good option. It's completely lace, so it might be difficult to find the right stuff to later under at dress length,

I have a habit of looking at pics before reading the post. I was planning to suggest that it would look great shortened to tunic length over skinnies with boots in winter or over a pair of slim white pants in summer.

Lovely color on you Abie and great find.

I found this Emerald lace dress at a thrift store for $2. The photo does not do the color justice its a very nice emerald shade.

I'm not sure what to do with it yet. I have it over the skinnys and black tank I was already wearing to show what it looks like.

The tie can go in back or front. Should I cut it to tunic length, change the neckline, switch the belt? Make it into an overjacket or shrug?

I figured if it didn't work out I could make an overlay dress for my 16mo so it wouldn't be a waste. The color is really beautiful.

Sorry for the bad pics. eep.
