I agree with everyone that the second dress is a great fit. I am glad to hear that you decided to have the third one taken in. The color is absolutely luscious, it it very very chic. I may be the odd one out but I think the first dress is also too big on you. I think you are smaller than you think you are, next time you go for dress shopping, reach for the next size down.

Katiepea, I think both #1 and #3 are too long. #2 is killer! Great fit, great color, great everything.

Thank you ever so much everyone! I just had a chance to get online and read your feedback. Yes, I think I will alter the third dress, I think I will take it up to just above the knee for start and maybe in a little, particularly around the bust-line. Ooohhh, I didn't know about the concept of slouchy boots with the dresses, what a great idea. And I love the idea of pewter/silver or even green shoes with my little dotty red dress - what fabulous ideas! Will post more glamorous photos over the next few weeks and months to come (before it gets too cold!).

Katiepea you can never have enough dresses for an Australian summer. And if they are on sale, then all the better!

I really like the first dress on you. Looks great with those sandals.

#2 looks good to me as well. Shows off your great figure. It'd look great with black or silver shoes I think.

#3 I agree needs shortening. Then it will be the perfecr easy, breezy dress for scorching days!

I think you look great in all of them -- the teal one could be shorter, but it'll be comfy in hot weather. Love your colors!

The first two are great. The turquoise is a great color for you but I think it could use some tailoring. I'd try shortening first and see how that looks.

Hi katiepea. No Stepford wife on my screen;-) I can definitely see a white beaded necklace or faux pearls with the first dress, I wouldn't hesitate to try other colours too (green perhaps?), or a silver multi-strand chain necklace...

You could wear all sorts of different shoes with the second dress. My first thought was perhaps green or teal, or how about pewter or silver?

The turquoise is a beautiful colour, I agree with the others that this dress looks a bit too big for you. It could just be that this cut has more fabric than the others + I think that shortening it (perhaps to the length of the first dress?) might already change the look completely?

I think the first two dresses are lovely, the third would look great if shortened, but I'm on a turquoise kick at the moment. Do you ever wear boots with your summer dresses in the autumn? it may help you to transition your new purchases.

This is part of one of Angie's blogs
Wear slouch boots with short dresses: This is my favourite way to introduce Autumn back into my style this season. I pair sleeveless cool wool sheaths and jersey frocks, or short sleeved silk dresses with mid calf slouch boots. The dresses are best a few inches above the knee for mid calf boots to work, otherwise you’ll look dumpy. I’ve found that doing the look sleeveless works well because it keeps you cool, but this is not essential.

I love all things girly, too! Therefore, I think the first is very cute and no, not too Stepford.

The second one is super cute and, for me, would fit the MOTG bill with a little denim jacket over top and ballet flats. For a night out with my husband, a little cardi and maybe nude shoes.

My initial reaction was that the turquoise dress is ginormous on you. Flip from picture two to picture three . . . you're so tiny in two and swallowed up in three! If you really love it, I'd definitely consider having it tailored.

Super cute... I especially like the first two. The third one isn't as special, but it could work for hot summer days. I think it's a bit long?

I really like that second dress (pink?) I don't care so much for the first one... too ruffly, and the turquoise dress does seem too big or overpowering or something.

I know, I know, here in Australia we are now officially heading towards winter so maybe these are silly purchases, but in my defence, all the summer dresses are on sale!

I thought to myself "these fit my requirement of being able to wear a bra with them (I'm not a no-bra, spaghetti strap kind of girl), they are light and airy and best of all, they are cheap - why not think ahead?!" I would love your feedback. Sorry about the hair BTW - playing dress-ups always makes my hair messy! There are three dresses that I bought:

http://s995.photobucket.com/al.....20dresses/

In regard to the pink dress - I don't look to much of a "stepford wife" do I? Are the gold wedges ok with it? I was thinking that a white beaded necklace would look nice with this? Should I keep it? I do love all things girly-girly - so that aspect doesn't bother me.

With the red "flowery/dotty" dress - This one is my hubby's favourite. Maybe because it is *ahem* tighter. It isn't too tight, is it? If it passes approval, what shoes would I buy to go with this? Red? White? Sandal? Wedge? Open toed heel? I don't like the gold wedge shoes with this. It is a tricky dress because it is kind of dressy, but also kind of casual at the same time? What do you think? I envisage this dress as being a going out for a nice/casual dinner kind of dress, rather than a "pick up the kids from school" dress.

With the turquoise dress - I kinda love it and I kind feel like "hmmmmmm - short, dumpy, frumpy". I was wondering, does it need to be taken in? Given that I have short legs and long thighs, would the dress be more flattering if it was taken up to just above the knee?" Are the sandals ok with this more casual dress? I do have to say that this is the comfiest, most practical dress. I have already worn it to pick up the kids from school - I hope I didn't embarass myself!

PS - Sorry about the little fella, he decided that he had to be in the photos too, despite my attempts to convince him otherwise!
