Thank you for all the lovely words and thoughtful suggestions esp around accessories (and how seeing my room decor might be impairing viewing things in the mirror, I think there's something to this).&nbsp;&nbsp;<br />I ended up trying the medium and returning both, it fit better through the bottom half but pulled a bit on the shoulders.&nbsp; But mostly what really finalized my decision to return was that both sizes gapped a bit at at the bust line and it seemed like a lot to spend on a dress where I wasn't sure how I felt about it and wasn't sure I'd be completely comfortable.&nbsp; Also b/c honestly right now a lot of my summer is going to be running after kids so not sure how much use I'd get out of it.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>FWIW I tried the top in that pattern as well, sadly the tie hit my torso in not quite the right place. So for now just appreciating the print from afar. I have fallen in love with dresses that were lovely items but not the best on me and regretted buying them. Other dresses that were a bit out of my comfort zone ended up as workhorses because they were versatile. How I now try to distinguish the good from the bad purchases is with a try on styling session to determine how versatile the dress will be and how and when I will wear it.</p> <p>The pink dress was a statement dress I bought in 2020 that I have worn a lot because I can dress it up or down and wear it most of the year. It was a splurge - I had been eyeing the print for a few weeks and when it came up in Angies posts and also came back in my size I just *had* to try it :)&nbsp; &nbsp;I know unstructured is the name of the game, but I'm still left wondering if it's working for me.&nbsp; Do I need to size down? OTOH the top doesn't feel snug, but is gapping a little bit between buttons (a different bra might solve that).&nbsp; &nbsp; There's several things I love about it but I'm also not sure it's doing me favors.&nbsp; Who's wearing who?&nbsp; (And I just spent the better part of the day watching videos of myself for an updated website, and I may be a bit sensitive atm to clothes not helping my cause, but it also made me realize I need to step up my style game!)&nbsp; </p>
