I think I like the black Gabor ones better than the first black Ara boots, but the review says they mark off, which would be bad. Also says they would be great for narrow feet which makes me wonder a bit because they are said to be comfort fit. The light brown Gabor boots are the same just a different color. I'm not sure if I like them better than the taupe ara boots, I think they're both fab. I'm also still looking for a new coat which might be expensive. And I need some more sweaters/tops. Which do you feel more drawn to? IMNSHO, better a little more money spent on boots you like a lot more. Other winter necessities can be fudged a bit. What other winterwear items are on your list.</p> <p>For suede, if that's what you go with, it's worth buying specific treatment spray and a special brush. I agree, Ara is great. It's a brand that's widely available here and they always have wider widths. I only have one pair of boots at the moment, my waterproof Ecco boots. No booties. I just want another option now that it's fall besides the boots below, my sneakers and the oxfords. The last two will soon be to impractical for the weather, so I would have to wear the Ecco boots 24/7 if I didn't buy an alternative.
