Congrats on your weight loss! You've really worked hard and that's great!

You look fab and I really like the dress and BF's. Gorgeous colors and the style of the dress is fab!! Would maybe a small stitch help the pulling in the dress? Maybe the cardi would be better with a skirt?

Shoes - *fainting*
I TOTALLY identify with you on the weight loss and clothes buying thing. I am down about 4 dresses sizes from where I was, but still at least 2 dress sizes from where I want to be so really hesitant to shop and buy things that I may not wear for very long!

I think you look pretty amazing with where you are at and I love love love the green shoes!

I see a growing sense of your personal style every time you post. I think your wonderful, distinctive style takes a little more work and time. A modern classic can pretty much dress off the rack and out of the magazines. Your look requires a creative refining and adventurous spirit. I also think the more you post, the more I can sense what tweaks and new additions would be fab for you. I love #2, particularly.
Congrats on the weight loss, don't be so harsh yourself (I know difficult right?). Looking on the bright side of things always helps and count them as milestones to great things! You should reward yourself with fabulous pieces, just buy one at a time with each weight loss goal, you should buy and celebrate for the body you have right now. Plus within reason, alterations are always possible.
I also think you are doing ok. Your colour combinations are fun, and I think the BF jeans are good on you.

i agree the ribbon top might be a little too short for pants and would go better with a skirt?

I think you are doing better than you think:) I also think that our style continual evolves so perhaps we never 'there' in terms of our style.
I see your style as somewhat retro and ever so quirky. Don't be afraid to go with what you like. Given your continued weight loss, perhaps small steps. Having two or three outfits that really work and you feel confident in is better than 12 that don't make you feel good.

Congrats on your huge weigh lost! And YLF!!!
I think You have to identify your needs, first! Do you dress for work? What kind of dress code, what style would you like, and so on...then maybe will see even clearer where to go next!
I love your dress outfit:-) I find the siluette most flatering on you- but am a dress girl for some years now for myself, too:-)

I think you're being too hard on yourself, DS, you're looking good! It's always hard to refine one's style during weight loss, having to replace and replace is really tough. You've got a great sense of color, all of your outfits have fabulous color combinations. I like the look of your salvaged oversized skinnies, though I'd prefer to see them rolled up once more which will be a little more leg flattering. I think for the third outfit, the detail on the top is quite pretty (ribbon and all!) but it seems like it might be a better length for skirts? A longer top with that outfit coupled with a baby heel (perhaps a wedge) could really up the ante for that one. And you are right, beige isn't as soul-sucking away from the face, let's see the new trousers! Taking photos, even if you don't post them here, can be really helpful in figuring out what does and doesn't feel like your style as well as help assess fit, but certainly try to keep having fun with it and take breaks as needed

Love the belt you put w/#1. There's enough fashion sense right there to make me pack up my toys and go home.

Clothes and self-expression are fun, but huge impact you have made for your health and longevity with your weight loss counts more than any temporary blips as you find your way. Might have to try on some different personas over the next while. What fun that could be.

Teal and purple are my go-to colors right now too. I can't wear yellow much, but I like how it complements everything in #1 too.

I am not sure if this is a body confidence issue or a dressing/ shopping issue but After several months reading
the YLF forums casually I still feel a bit lost as to how it applies to me.

The Good:

I can better identify style descriptions and body types....I have enjoyed seeing everyone's individuality and styles.

I know what styles I like and what colors look good on me.

After dropping 7 full sizes and replacing everything from unders to shoes. I figured out what I don't like and have made many mistakes as I went through a ton of clothing. I am starting fresh slowly.

The Bad:

I am afraid to commit to buying any expensive pieces as I still may lose a bit more weight. Am I done losing weight? Do I have more to go? What clothing should I invest in? What should I wait on? What do I need? Etc.

I can't seem to get it together so I have decided to concentrate on foot wear and accessories for the next few months. I have never been a belt person, but have picked up 3 belts this week. Two leather Fossil's with antiqued marcisite details and one purple to go with my green and purple shoes.

As for clothing I have picked up a few things. A pair of sailor trouser pants in camel/beige with buttons on each side. I love the style but am unsure of the color. (Does beige still suck your soul if it is not close to your face?) Its a neutral, but I am unsure if I am making the same bland choices in clothing as I did before.

Pic:1
I found a cute green floral dress at the Good Will that hits a retro/ summer vibe that I like. Wore it on St. Patty's day but noticed the fit was not as great as I thought I could get away with in the bust. ( Always the issue) thoughts?

Pic 2:
I resurrected some bigger skinny jeans and have been wearing them as "boyfriends". Surprisingly, kind of like the look as they are comfy but I am not sure baggy is the most flattering for me. Will keep through the Summer. Love my Argyll.... I need to figure out retro geek sheek 'cause I like the look. (Love Bernedette on Big Bang Theory)

Pic 3:
Mom wear again. Love the mint and lavender colors but the ribbon on the blouse yells look at my stomach!! Not my best asset. I may put this in the donate pile but I love the color and girlishness of it.

I just can't seem to put everything together and am unsure of how to go forward.
