I got this one and I love it! Can't wait for a chilly day to wear it! I accidentally ordered the petite. I'm 5'5". It fits me and it's lines are beautiful. I bought the EF dress in the same color. I like them together.

To me, the scale of this one seems good. It's short enough to not be overwhelming on those of us who are vertically challenged :)

And the shape is a bit boxy so it looks like it would help balance a slightly larger bottom half.

Similarly I'm a petite, and I own two ponchos, one that looks similar in style to the one you have photographed and the other has the longest point at the front which elongates the body. I don't find them overwhelming on my height and often receive compliments. I find them versatile layering items - just consider the bag you will use when wearing them as they need to be carried by hand.

Thanks Jane and Lisa. I think I will definitely wait and see what I think of it in person, and maybe post a picture for some feedback. I do really like that color so it would be nice if I can make it work.

I don't know about the fit but I'm curious as to the answer since we are the same height (high five) and I'm a pear shape.

Hi Kathleen, I have two similar garments and for me, they work well. They work well as an evening cover up, and as an early morning walk to my station on my commute. I wear with jeans, skirts, dresses etc. I have a darker green colour (which I think is the same colour spectrum as the claret above) and then a lighter camel colour.

I am pear shaped, and 5' 1", but I think they look in proportion to me.

When they wear out, I replace. Previously I have had a mottled navy (gorgeous) and another camel coloured one.

So I've ordered the EF poncho in claret but I'm sort of having 2nd thoughts about it on my body type. I think my concerns are partly because of my height (5' 3") and partly because my bottom half is slightly larger than my top. I know that there was a similar style last year. Will this style work for someone of my height and build or should I look for something else?

My local Nordstrom didn't have this item in store so I had to order.
