After the rain stopped, there was a tidal surge during 2 am high tide (we live next to the ocean). Our basement flooded during the night. We dried it out pretty quickly using a generator to work the pump. We are hoping there isn't any lasting damage, but we took pictures for the insurance.</p> <p>I spent all of yesterday spreading out all our old photos to dry. Quite a trip down memory lane! I may post some of them here.</p> <p>Our sailboat weathered the storm--just broke a mooring rope. But at the other marina in town, the docks rose with the high tide and floated onto the land with the boats attached to them. When the tide went out, the boats were scattered all over the land, so now there is a jumble of masts pointing every which way.</p> <p>Some communities don't have power yet.
