He's made it through surgery and the first night, though still critical. Very very scary, everyone is still reeling in shock that this could happen so close to home to such a well liked guy. And in broad daylight outside a crowded Starbucks. And for those of you who know Vancouver, the police chase went down the seawall and ended in a shooting up outside Scienceworld filled with kids. Unbelievable in our little city. I had also heard that the person injured was expected to recover, but early reports are so unreliable. Such a stupid, terrible incident. These shootings make me SO ANGRY. No matter how troubled a person is, he doesn't have any right to pick up a gun and shoot people. And then often the shooter kills himself at the end so doesn't have to live with the consequences of what he's done. It's definitely becoming more prevalent.
