I love wearing thongs, but only when they are flat. All heeled thong sandals I've tried have annoyed me with the way my foot slides down so that the area between my big toe and 2nd toe is smushed.

Good luck on your search!

Thanks for the honest assessments. My feet are narrow and I was hoping that the 3 straps across the foot at the arch would secure the shoes on my feet. But clearly i need more help in the toe area - or a strap around the back of my foot.

Back they go. I'll keep looking.

Hmm... I know what you're talking about and I have had that problem with some sandals. I honestly don't think there is a way to fix it or make it more comfortable... they might just be wrong for your feet.

As sweet as they are, this style of thong sandal is not agreeing with your feet. Melllls is right. Thicker sandal straps are more secure. Also, the sandal might be too wide. A snugger style will also help keep the sandal stay on your foot.

I'm sorry to have to say it, but return these and find a more suitable pair

Those are cute. I have had that problem with certain sandals before but not others but I'm not sure what causes it. You could be right that that thin strip isn't enough for your foot to cling to the shoe.

I bought these thong wedges from LOFT and keep trying to walk in them around the house. They are the perfect height (1 1/2") and the perfect silver/pewter color. I want them to work! But I'm having trouble keeping them on my feet without having to clench my toes and that hurts.
http://www.anntaylorloft.com/c.....pe=Regular

I have other thong wedge sandals, but they have more material near the toes. Could that be the issue with these? The others I have are extremely comfortable, so I can't figure out why these aren't working. Thoughts? Any other suggestions for a similar looking sandal that will be easier to walk in? Thanks all!
