I was able to get out to the store today - great fit and quality and really liked the style on me... but the nylon-ish parts looked really thin/shiny/cheap in real life. Almost like garbage bag material. Many of my gear tops and jackets are a made like this - back longer than front to cover the "gap" between shirt and pants when you're biking, cross-country skiing or another activity where you lean forward a bit. I'm still kinda digging the peplum thing, even though <a href="http://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/kr-anthro-jacket">the last peplum I tried </a>was too deemed too high-waisted for me. This one seems to have a lower waist, is water and wind resistant, and can zip up two different collars for a pretty cool layered effect. </p> <p>Is the peplum/fishtail too "out there"? Which color is better? I love the tonal quality of the red, but maybe the black is more understated. Or maybe the black is too biker babe? I have some trouble evaluating these things late at night...</p> <p>ETA: Picture 6 is the jacket that needs a non-polyester upgrade. </p>
