We are having a lot of rain and it is getting to me I think. My boots are from the Klamath Falls feed store in Southern Oregon where I shop for rental business supplies when I am up at the cabin. Sometimes I find gems there; other times I get home to the Bay Area and just shake my head and wonder what I could have been thinking. Yesterday I was heading out to a labyrinth event my neighbor, a nationally acclaimed labyrinth designer, was hosting in her garden so I knew I would be in muck. But the clouds temporarily parted, and it was actually gloriously pretty for about an hour! She had a big basin of cut flowers sitting at the mouth of her brick and stone labyrinth and all the participants were invited to take a flower and stand a moment in the center, holding a little silence for her labyrinth collegues in Japan. It was a really great event. If any of you are in the DC area, she designed a beautiful labyrinth on the green roof of the National Psychological Society's building just off the mall. She also designed the labyrinth in the shape of Snoopy's head outside the Schulz Museum in the north Bay Area. Amazing works of art that you get to walk through and experience with your entire body... L.</p> <p>P.S. The hob is more commonly known as the stove or range here... I don't have a great spot in the house for pictures either, and I am lazy and therefore refuse to drag out my tripod and DSLR for a couple of outfit snaps (pathetic considering I'm a professional photographer), so I'm limited to wherever I can stand my little point &amp; shoot at an acceptable angle and have room and light enough to get my whole outfit. My studio works better, so I usually get pics there. So today I started scouting locations in my house. What can I say, it was a quiet rainy sunday and I had a little cabin fever. Its a small house. Its an old house. Several of my rooms would actually be larger in terms of square footage if they could be tipped on their sides.</p> <p>So here's the sequence:</p> <p>1)Me striding around looking for the right spot. No one's home. Musn't get caught!<br /> 2)Me shot from inside the liquor cabinet. (Next stop: drunken tweets!) I don't know... a little too "touched by an angel"... don't you think?<br /> 3)Me by the back door. Poor light and cut-off feet. "But shoes are the best part of me!...[sobs]"<br /> 4)Me by the hob. Where I spend about 75% of my time anyhow. Get ready to see what's for dinner at our house each night! </p> <p>See you next week. Happy spring! L. </p>
