Great dress - looking forward to hearing your report on it, if you do order it. You and I are once again on the same wavelength. I'm headed to the only store in the city that stocks EF to see what their pants situation is like. I think I'll bite the bullet if I find a pair I like.

I can imagine being able to wear this dress in a ton of ways, and with a ton of jackets - casual, and dressy. Probably money well spent.

I can't wear this style at all - too much upper body (me, not the dress) - which makes me think it would look fab on you.

Joy, thanks for posting those pics and for all the great info! I am definitely considering this dress -- will have to see what happens when the Anthro one appears.

Ok, mine are not the silk jersey but a knit modal more like the lining of the one you link to. The drape is fabulous...not clingy but heavy enough to really drape. I do have some EF silk jersey tops that have a beautiful drape but none are sheer. I hand wash and lay flat to dry. The modal fabric will feel stiff and awful when wet but will become soft again when dry. I think I would dry clean the dress you link to with the mix of fabrics. Mine need no pressing and rarely wrinkle. I'm enclosing a photo of my blue dress alone and with cardi and jacket. I wanted length and opted for a regular size rather than petite.
Debbie also has this dress and a S was the best fit for her.

Viva, I am also a small-chested rectangle and have a couple of similar EF dresses that she calls a lantern dress. It is also fitted to the waist, flares out and narrows again at the bottom. I like that it gives some curves to my rectangle. This one looks a little fuller but should have the same effect. Most EF pieces run large. My dresses are XS and I would probably take a Small in other brands. I am 5'3" and weight about 120 lbs.
I will post this not to lose what I wrote and look at the fabric on yours before commenting.

I have no experience with this dress Viva but must say that it's positively lovely! I think it has fabulous potential and actually think it would be fabulous on a small chested rectangle.

Does anyone have or have experience with this EF dress? I'm interested in sizing, washing, drape, etc., especially for a small-chested rectangle. I recently ordered a dress from Anthro but if it doesn't work I am thinking about this one, which seems like a modern classic and could easily be worn for work, too (unlike the Anthro dress). Love its simplicity. This one is currently on sale from EF. Thoughts?
