I have the ones below and have loved wearing them this winter, my best footwear purchase of the year. I am precious about them, and don't wear them when out in heavy rain and sprayed them with protector. But on days when I am predominantly inside or it is not raining they are wonderful.</p> <p>The white ones you have selected have a dark sole, so I think that will give you a book-end effect. I wear mine with dresses and most items. I'm glad these aren't coming off OTT. Thanks for reminding me, Angie--I have high top sneakers that I do wear with dresses. The Black timberlands work but my grey Converse not as well. In my head, I'm thinking the boots would be less casual but maybe they are more or less the same. I have trouble with my grey leather high tops--always thought it was because they are so flat but maybe they just don't bookend. I will play around in the closet this week before I pull the trigger. I almost bought a shorter pair of Docs and then remembered how long it took me to break in my other ones. The office is not what it was and I'm considering some fun boots--in white or black. I'm not going to make an investment purchase but think these would be fun with crops and dresses. The white ones are not optic white which might make them easier to wear? What do you think? My white sneakers were a work horse--they are too trashed for work now but maybe these will work for winter?&nbsp;</p> </p>
