Okay, I think I can say that I really am a convert to short hair. It's so low maintenance- for example, I woke up late for class today so I took a very quick shower and spent literally five seconds styling my hair with my fingers and styling wax. It also was a windy day and I didn't have to worry about knotty hair or anything like that. </p> <p>I've received favourable reactions from my friends and acquaintances with the exception of one person who thought it was perfectly acceptable to make rude comments about my hair and sexuality in front of a large group of my friends. Bah, I hate rude people. </p> <p>All in all, I love it. I think I have finally found a haircut that suits me and my lifestyle. I went for a choppy short haircut, best description I could think of.The stylist was brilliant, very friendly and most importantly loves short haircuts. He encouraged going with a choppy tight cut to keep the haircut looking young but it can also be worn neatly as well for interviews. It takes about 2 minutes to style and that's with blow drying. I will probably go even shorter ont he next cut and that'll be even faster to style. I had short hair for years before that. It's hands down my favourite way to wear hair. I HATE to spend more than 5 minutes styling my hair, but I love having a great style. I think hair makes or breaks a look.</p> <p>You'd look wonderful with short hair. If you have some natural wave the style you posted will probably be very low maintenance--you might even be able to air dry. Ultimately, talk about it with your stylist. I made a little collage in Photoshop of images I'd saved from the internet of hair cuts I liked and I printed that out in black and white and brought it in with me. </p> <p>My experience is that the shorter you go, the less time it'll take to style a short cut. I sported a very, very short pixie cut for several years. It was so easy to do on a daily basis but required frequent and semi-expensive haircuts. ($50+ tip every 5-6 weeks...) It added up fast. Your hair stylist should be able to explain what style of short cut would work best with your face shape.</p> <p>As for ease of care, it really depends on the style. Again something to discuss with your stylist. I have been very clear with my stylist that I don't want a high maintenance style and she is always able to give me a great cut that doesn't take too much work to maintain.
