I think part of the reason is that when a person is pregnant and wears a regular dress or skirt, they take on the "high-low" hem because of the baby bump. Because I was pregnant three times, I just cannot get it out of my head that a high-low hem makes me look pregnant. Of course, this would never occur to most young women, which is why I think the trend is so popular among the juniors sizes (though there are plenty in misses sizes, too).
