I consider bootcut jeans a classic and think they can always work. I do think the washes can change over time, and wash can effect if a jean looks 'dated' or not.

It seems to be a time of wearing all sorts of shapes and lengths. Wear what you love and it will look fab the way that one carries themselves when they are happy with the outfit.

I think very few things in isolation are truly out now, it is how you combine them. If you like wider legs or bootcuts I think they are classic and always wearable; I also think they are coming back in again in a more trendy sense.

With the mid calf skirts, if you don't like them I would hand them on. I love them but they can be difficult to style....so I think you need commitment to the look to wear them.

I think one pair of classic black trousers is a very useful wardrobe item- I just got rid of mine as they were worn out after six years! Once or twice a year they are so useful- community meetings, work, I wear them with a black polo knit and flat loafers for a smart work look that is always stylish but not obtrusive.

I think wide legged dress pants and bootcut jeans are both classics. I'd keep them for sure if you like the way they look on you.

On browsing the runway shows on Style.com I saw a lot of flared trouser hems and also wide legs in abundance. I think they are on their way back in even more so.

With the NAS, and the few posts about fall purchases, I am getting ready for the end of summer purge..I am not thinking of getting rid of any spring or summer items as much as it is all around wear in my climate, except for sandals and shorts.

Dress and skirt length seems to be either short or just below knee. The calf length did not seem to catch on, and I have a couple of old skirts that have been hanging around too long ,so they are going. Even if they are on trend or not, I just don't like the way they look on me.

Wide leg dress pants-out or not? Have some really nice black ones but have not worn them more than a couple of times in the last two years. What about boot cut jeans?
