I’m tired of too many options for cool ankle booties, and not enough cool options for knee-high boots. I need tall boots for warmth and to balance out my stocky legs!

Im still enjoying the bell sleeves, but the topper issue can be difficult, and sleeves of any sort are strictly a transitional to cold weather thing to me. Most of mine are thin so fold in easily, but yesterday the sleeves of the dress i was wearing were very bossy- though they do fit under my winter coat.

Like Gretchen I have a poison eye for things that look like bathrobes. I notice a lot of those “teddy coats” just look like worn out, clumpy fleece bathrobes to me. Gross.

My grandmother made me a church dress aged 8 with bell sleeves (she called them angel sleeves) and to this day, I still love the look. Agree it's not at all practical, but the happy memories make it worth it for me.

My poison eye right now is for duster-length cardigans. Too much like a bathrobe for my taste.

Yeah, seems like there are way too many bells out there when I look online at fashion sites. I don't see many women wearing them.

Not in love with knee length cardigans either. Just like long coats, they don't suit a car-oriented lifestyle. Also they flop around and I'll never forget the one I had with fringe on that accidentally got into the toilet in a restaurant. I know some fashionistas love them, but I will never buy another one.

I don't like thin merino sweaters. If I want a wool sweater, why would I buy such a thin, non-warm one? Don't look in my donate bag, please. I can't explain why I bought so many the last couple of years. (Hint, cheap and on sale at BR.)

I don't wear really low-rise jeans, but even medium and "high rise" still slide down my straight hips and flat butt. A belt helps a bit, but not enough.

What Staysfit said. I’ll sometimes wear a lantern sleeve or shorter bell. Those lovely photos of models with romantic bell sleeves over hands are not my lifestyle.

I love the way bell sleeve tops look, but only buy them if the sleeves are 3/4 length or shorter so the bells don't hang in the sink when I wash my hands. I purchased some puff shoulder balloon sleeve/bishop sleeve tops. I like them because they are fitted at the bottom. They don't seem to drag or interfere with what I am doing. I try to be practical with my clothes. I need to be able to move quickly at all times because of the kind of work I do.

I've owned one bell sleeve top in my life. It was a beautiful blue breton, a vintage piece that had belonged to my grandmother first. But I learned my lesson pretty fast -- soggy cuffs every time you go to wash your hands, ugh! And don't even think about doing the dishes. I eventually chopped the bells off entirely and hemmed the sleeves to elbow length, and got quite a bit of wear out of it that way for a few more years.

I still cuff my jeans -- perennial tomboy -- but I am re-embracing wearing my full length jeans at full length this fall. No icy breezes on my ankles! It's kinda nice.

I'm in a climate where a topper is usually optional indoors, and I don't hate them if they are 3/4 length, which makes them about wrist length on me. If they are intended to be wrist length, it is a total fail, because they will entirely cover my hand. I swear, I don't look like a t-rex to the casual observer, but apparently, I am one, with tiny, short arms.

I’ve always hated bell sleeves. My #1 criteria for clothes is that they must be functional. Sleeves hanging down in my way are not functional.

And definitely low rise pants for me, too. Again, constantly pulling up my pants in an effort to cover my butt crack...not functional.

I'm tired of chunky knit sweaters that are hard to wear under a coat, flimsy, clingy knits, cold shoulder tops, low rise pants and flannel shirts. There are no big sleeves in the closet except maybe on a big pullover sweater which has a good chance of being edited out.

I hear you on the fussy sleeve thing. I have a couple of tops with them and find my love for them is waning, especially with the added hassle of putting toppers over them. No doubt, as soon as I say that, I will come across something with big sleeves that I "have to have" but currently I intend to not add any more to my wardrobe.

I am getting really tired of bell sleeves, or any kind of big sleeves. I have several tops with them, but they are all more summery, so not wearing them now. I have a velvet top with sort of not too full baloonish sleeves that I definitely will wear this winter. Also tired of rolling up my jeans. I have some that I will still wear that will have to be rolled when I wear them with some of my booties, but I now prefer ankle or crop pants and jeans.
