I'm so over accessorizing with chunky beads/bib necklaces(never was a fan), but I do still love the occasional longer pendant. I am also surprised leaving my silver wire-like choker off my daily outfits more often lately, as earlier I did think I absolutely need wearing something on my neck. I guess it's the higher necklines and/or the black thicker frames which do that to me...:-).
I'm also over the muddy shades and prints in general, I nowadays much prefer high contrast, and blocked clear colored pairings. Think it means more visibility after a certain age:-).
I'm so over billowing stilletto kind of heels(never really a fan of) and the plain flats. Wedges, and kitten/block and sturdy low heels are my way for everyday motion.
I'm so over tees....and sad but true, over the very classic cut blazers, too.

Long, drapey cardigans. I still love cardigans, and they suit my lifestyle, but I'm looking for sleeker styles now.
Bootcut jeans. This is typical of me - I wear a style for years, then tire of it just as it resurfaces as a trend!

Carla, gasp! I will never be over cobalt! And missvee, I may never get over the semituck either -- it makes a lot of tops wearable for me that otherwise hang in a not-so-flattering way.

I'm with you, Deborah, on the bootcut jeans. I've tried to wear mine a couple of times, knowing the trend is re-emerging, and they no longer make me feel fab. Which is weird, because I used to love them and I do think the silhouette is flattering on most women. They definitely make your legs look longer when you wear them with a heel.

I never loved BF jeans so never bought any, but having lost some weight, I have two pairs of skinny jeans that now fit like a slim boyfriend! I have played with the idea of wearing that way (styled a la boyfriend) but we will see!!

Being petite I don't mind shorter blazers but I am picky about lapels. And I am crazy about edge to edge or draped lapel blazers.

I got rid of my ballet flats ages ago. Inspired by YLF I bought some but they were never really 'me'. I have kept one expensive pair that are black with silver hardwear as I figure occasionally they will be just the right pair of shoes of a particular occasion.

I think I might actually be well over bootcut jeans!! I know they have reemerged as a current trend but I think I am almost ready to pass mine on. Haven't worn them for ages and am just not feeling the love for them.

I'm tired of the semi tuck. It's just looking a bit contrived to me now.
As for ballet flats, I have only one pair and that's enough. They're okay for short distances but I could never walk all day in them.

I have been tired of shrunk blazers for several years now. It is very hard to find longer length blazer. I cannot do theory because they don't have my size. I really need petite blazers anyway. Everything stores like Ann Taylor and Banana Republic carry are shorter than I would like. Occasionally they may have a boy friend blazer that is more of the length I like, but then they are not cut like a true regular blazer. I need the short blazer trend to be over.

Black. When an item comes in multiple colors, all to often they just order the black for Petites. Give me charcoal gray instead!

Skirts and dresses that are TOO SHORT. At least as a Petite, I can sometimes order the Regular size and it will be long enough, but even then it is sometimes too short.

Seeing jeans (not here, however) with really weird fading in places where fading would not naturally occur.

Super blunt-toed ballet flats. They are no doubt more comfy than pointy toed ones, and maybe I have a poison eye because ballet flats don't work for my feet, but I would like them to disappear from the market.

I was going to ask about ballet flats, sounds like I should consider a pointy tie to update them (mine are worn out from wear). I am over classic cardis but still like the longer styles. I think I will replace my riding boots with short flat boots come the fall, they too are several years in and a little the worse for wear. And I am generally over scarves which is annoying because I still really like them! They just don't feel right lately.

I'm sick and tired of my capri pants. I would rather wear long, lightweight pants. The problem is that lightweight pants almost always have an elastic or drawstring waist, which I hate.

My fussy feet don't allow me to wear fashionable shoes, but at least I have nice jewelry to compensate.

I thought this was going to be a thread about some of the trends out there that some of us might feel are overdone whether we adopted them or not. My #1 on that front: that darned black "floppy" hat (that keeps getting called a "fedora" whether it is or not)! Can it go away now? :)

Never did the BF jeans, and I've only ever had one pair of ballet flats myself (silver ones, at the end of the 70s). I'm not a flats (or super-high heels) or classic cardigan person. But I'll commiserate a little with Una on the black. I've moved away from it, yet I find that I've added more black items this spring than other colors--why? Partly because of the same problem--things not coming in enough colors when I find the shape I want--and partly because, well, they go with what I already have. Yet, some things really do look best to my eye in black.

But the style I find I'm tired of for now? Tees! Especially the classic women's tee silhouette, though it suits me well enough and I have some in colors and patterns I like (I don't do white tees). It's just that I lived in tees more than anything else for about 5 years and I'm gravitating to JFE, chiffon-y print blouses, somewhat peasant-y tops of various styles, and even button-front shirts (in colors and chambray and with fun details. Not white). When it's hotter I'll layer openwork and sheer tops over colorful tanks and crop tops.

Hmm. Great thread for thinking through style shifts. I hadn't really even thought about whether I was having one, but I think I am!

I don't have a pair of BF jeans, but I did buy a pair of BR chinos near the end of last summer that fit like BF jeans. It was an experiment for me. I didn't wear them much, and I don't feel like reaching for them now. So I don't know if I was ever really on the BF jeans bandwagon.

I am actually getting more into ballet flats now than I have in the past. I have one pair of pointy toes and am considering finding a pair of round toes. I have to be careful with the round-toed ones, though, because I am short and they can make me look stumpy. But I really want the pair that I buy to be distinctive somehow, not just plain jane.

Like DJP, I am really getting over the low-rise look. I am more into midrise right now. I think it is because I am enjoying the idea of wearing crop tops and need a higher rise to cover up the ol' belly button. :)

Unlike Una, I am really loving black right now! The more the better.

I have never been a fan of ballet flats.

I am tired of BLACK. And yet I can't find enough in color that fits my style goals.

I'm definitely over round-toed ballet flats. I've still got some that I wear but I haven't bought any new ones since the middle of last year. Instead I'm picking pointy-toed ones or, increasingly, smoking slippers or loafers.

I'm also tired of skinny jeans, although again I'm still wearing some pairs. I will probably never get tired of cardigans, but I am preferring ones with a longer, boyfriend-esque length, e.g. below the low hip, rather than the mid-hip length that was predominant for a while.

Yes, I agree that a pointier toe is more current but I find it adds so much length that I just can't go there (yet).

@DJP: The high rise on the front looks really good to my eye, and also has some sort of gentle girdling effect :-). On top of that, the jeans stay up without a belt! (These are all good things!) I then cover the mom-jean backside with a loose shirt tail. Bob's your uncle.

I do seem to be over ballet flats even though I still love them and have many pairs. I almost always choose slip on sneakers or sandals in warmer weather. Somehow tapering down to a dainty flat shoe silhouette just doesn't look current. Some exceptions are my Halogen Olsens and my Dolce Vita Laynies.

I'm still crazy for BF jeans (all jeans in fact!) and I doubt I will ever be over blazers especially shorter cuts.

I am growing very weary of low rise skinnies and was surprised how quickly my poison for higher rises changed to a sugar eye!

I'm not over BF jeans at all -- I still love them. But I am like Suz in my preference for "slim fit" BF jeans -- i.e. the ones that are more like relaxed skinnies. I find those easy to style. The wider-leg ones are much more difficult.

I was never into ballet flats to begin with, so I'm neutral on those, but boy oh boy do I ever have a case of tall boot fatigue!

As far as really tight, stretchy skinny jeans go, I still wear them, but I'm styling them in different ways. No more skinnies tucked inside tall boots. Instead, I'm wearing them hemmed right at the ankle bone and with flat oxfords, with just a sliver of skin showing.
