Good thing you snapped them up at that price. The only other difference I can spot is that these have a more equestrian feel to them than ponte knits. When you zoom in on the pants you can see the equestrian style fabric insets on the inner thigh typical of riding pants. I can see lots of styling possibilities for fall with these. Probably not the exact same style, but I can shed some light on the difference. My pants are not as soft and maybe a bit thinner than Ponte knits. They are also a more technical fabric - not matte but not shiny.
