I'll be honest, I was expecting more finger wagging here. Instead with the enabling, I realized I would be sorry if these slipped away, and they are no longer available online in my size, and down to last pairs in store. It feels frivolous, but I will love wearing these when I can. They are really comfortable--no pressure anywhere, but due to the heel and the wedge it does alter my gait compared to a flatter shoe.

La Belle D, I guess what is on my mind is that I recently restarted work after maternity leave and am kind of feeling re-judged in the workplace about my wardrobe. Where I work some people take pride in their lack of vanity, whereas I enjoy being a bit vain? Ha ha. It does basically come down to expressing myself, as you put your finger on. These shoes are so comfortable they are eight hour (but not every day of the week) shoes for me, but the fact that they are heels shows that I put an emphasis on my appearance.

Archer, you are right; they would work with anything that could be tucked in the top, including a baggy leg.

Angie, thanks so much for weighing in. You are very wise. I have been such a practical bunny for the last two years when it comes to shoes.

Okay, so I have these at home now. I feel a bit frivolous but happy. And now I will be shopping my closet for a few months after hitting the summer sales so hard.

I find them very high! (Says the gal who finds anything over 2 inches high. I love a 1.5 inch heel).

I do think the vibe is "very Scarlet". And only you will know whether the heel is workable for your lifestyle. We ARE allowed shoes that aren't 8 hour-plus shoes!!! Just not too many of them if we find them hard to walk in.

TME they work with flared and baggy legged pants and also with flared midis : am I way out of touch? They are really versatile. I wear with same coloured straight legs too and let them gather at the top?

I like them! I don't get a 'trying too hard' vibe... that's an interesting thing to say, and I'm curious to know what put that in your mind. Sometimes... you have to take that leap of faith and wear something a little bolder because you love it and you secretly are dying to express that adventurous part of yourself.

Since I'm trying 4" heels, I say 3" is low ;)

I'd wear those a lot.

I love them too, I think the only issue is the comfort level. I think you could wear these with all sorts of pants as well as skirts. They are so cute.

are they returnable? maybe you could buy them and wear them around the house to see if they are really comfortable, or if the are higher than you like. i think they are great, and i would would wear them with any straight leg pant, not just a skinny.

I love them, Scarlet. But the wear would be limited due to the need to roll, I guess. I suppose it would depend on the price point whether CPW would be worth it to you?

One of my new style edicts for myself was "no heels" because they are not as practical as flats and I am trying to focus on practical chic. However I have trouble with focus.
I was always attracted to these booties but resisted them due to the almost three inch wedge. They are now on sale and I (naughtily) tried them on in store. They are surprisingly comfortable and I would love wearing them in my free time, of which I have little. I like how the color would work with a white-out look.

The style does demand either a skinny or a rolled leg. Also I am not sure if they look too high from the side and then like I am trying too hard, if you know what I mean?
