I think you have solved it, Laura. It is not a pleasant feeling. I returned them tonight. I was sad to do so as they were cute and I've not seen another pair like them but that feeling makes it hard to walk - kind of like having your foot be asleep. I returned them for some extremely cute Steve Madden booties. Not practical at all like the painful ones were but strangely, much more comfortable!

I have had this happen with shoes often and think it's just a matter of where the shoe is touching your foot, and maybe it's hitting a nerve or something. On me, if the toe box curls upward at all, it will make my toes go numb. Weird, huh??

I have a pair of Nickels soft brand sort of ballet flat/ wedge shoes that are so cute (I've posted about them before) - they are black with a slight wedge heel that is a hard rubber but the front is black faux snakeskin - very simple, practical for my MOTG lifestyle and cute. However. When I wear them the ball of my foot/ toe area gets kind of numb! I cannot figure it out as flats don't do this and even my sky high heels don't do this.

I think I will have to return them. I've been wearing them around the house off and on for a couple weeks now and this pesky sensation always is here.

Do any of your shoes do this and if so, what in the world causes it? They aren't too small btw, so I really cannot figure this out!
