I have quite thin, bony ankles and wider calves, but not much length between. So booties can look a bit stumpifying on me. Also, as I wore the shoe, the leather relaxed in the back and the rubbing stopped. It's a nicely supportive shoe. Unfortunately mine will probably go back as there's way more leather on the right bootie than the left one. So the right has a weird bumfle on the instep. Not uncomfortable, but it looks like a mismatched pair. The shoes themselves are nicely made, but poor inspection/quality control. After barely 10 min wearing them here's what I think: the heel &amp; footbed are super comfy. The leather is a bit stiffer than I expected. Not a problem in front (very supportive) but I'm a bit worried about rubbing around the open heel area. I've attached pix in the hope it helps. (Not great lighting; DH is busy fixing the loo so you get my foot selfies I'm afraid) I have size 7 standard B width feet.
