Just wanted to mention that I bought the Dylans at Nordstrom in a darker wash and I love them. You can wear them at your waist, for a baggy look. Or I wear them down at my hips, about 1.5-2 inches below my belly button, for a very slouchy look.

The fabric is super soft.

These are different from my other GAP BFs, which are tapered at the ankle. I had been looking for a straighter BF silhouette and this is it, for me at least. Not too wide, but not too tapered.

I really want a wider leg a la the C/E Dad jeans (http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....-the-ankle) but alas, as someone on the petite size, I think this look would be stumpifying, even with heels.

Good luck! Did you ever make the exchange?

I actually like the fit on you. Like a skinny bf fit. But I'm not crazy about the distressing. I would definitely get that size/brand on you again but with less rip and repair.

I like all kinds of bf looks. Not every look is going to be a classic slouchy bf fit. I actually like to create my own unique jeans fits that don't fall into a category but the look is uniquely mine. This also allows me to work around my petite hourglass/pear shape.

Too late to make a difference, but I'm glad that if you're looking for slouch that you're exchanging. You're so sweet too to make sure your SA gets credit :-)

Have you decided what to try next?

OK, I'm sold, I am going to exchange them (I want my orignial SA to get credit for my new pair, so I'll go through her rather than just ordering the other ones now and returning these seperately).

I want more slouch. These are not really designed to fit slouchy, so sizing up just doesn't work! I do love the distressing, though...

I'm with Ceit, this is not slouchy enough for my eye. I also think the fit issues sound frustrating, especially if they are not achieving the look you want.

I tried the Dylans and hated them on me. The waist is really big in proportion to the thighs, even as boyfriend jeans go.

Have you tried Goldsign Mr. Right by any chance?

Hi, Jeneva - it sounds as if you are still feeling a bit doubtful, so what about trying the other ones just in case? I think each person needs a different kind of cut (slightly) to make it work. I definitely like the idea of these for you. Seems like you might be looking for a different rise and a bit less slouch in the waist, with more in the other areas?

I'm not sold on the slouchiness either. I also find the distressing on this color of jean doesn't look the best, it doesn't look natural because the jean wash is so new and fresh and then the distressing is stark white. I think distressing of this nature looks better on a lighter wash of jeans.

To my eye they don't look slouchy enough. They look like they are whiskering a bit instead of being baggy/slouchy. But, that being said, I have a huge tolerance for baggy/slouchy/dropped crotch and a poison eye for pulling at the crotch.

I have no experience with the ones you linked but maybe it's worth a try to compare?

Not a fan of paperbag waist, an I'd think the rise is too low. I think you are supposed to belt them to stay on, but such that the belt holds them above your hips.

I am saying that based on Angie's post, not experience, so others will probably have better insight.

Jenava, they look good. It i guess you have to decide if you can work with these fit issues. The last thing you want is a pair of jeans in the wardrobe that you cannot bear to wear.

I did try the Dylan's last year (through Shopbop) in my ever lasting BF jean search. They were some of the biggest on me. I didn't like the fit. Felt way too Tom Sawyer in them. That said, I don't have much baggieness tolerance compared to most. Honestly the True Religion Camerons have been the best (both the first time I tried them on eBay and sadly sent them back and just recently when I bought Denise's old pair off her.)

OK, so I sized up, and I have to wear a belt, which is perfectly OK with me. I also like the distressed/destroyed parts and the color. There are two things that I question...

1. The waist is huge and does a paper-bag pleat thing which is awkward.
2. The rise is low, hitting me just below my belly, so I can't just let them "slip down"

Should I return them for something with a higher rise?

ETA - have my eye on these, but would have to order them, so can't try them on before buying. Anyone have experience with these?
