If you are sold on them, then go for it!! They are not my style (echoing Una), but I'm not the one wearing them :). I would think that they would work with bootcuts and skinnies, but maybe I'm mistaken. So sad and annoying about your leaky Clarks.

This is not a style I love generally (pointy toe, skinny heel)... and cobblestones would be the final straw.

I think I am going to give these booties a try, but now I am wondering if they will go with skinnies. My Clarks looked good with black skinny jeans, probably precisely because they were a little less sleek. I would love to have a separate pair of black slouchy boots for skinnies, but my better half would probably rebel at the sight of another boot in the house :)

I do love the white version actually, but I need something easier and more basic more.

I would like them under bootcut pants, especially the white pair.

What a shame about the Clarks ankle boots! That should not happen with such a quality-centric brand as Clarks - I'd be mad and disappointed too.

I love them but I think they are kind of limited. With the shape of the top you could only wear them with pants or bootlegs. As long as you are ok with that I would go for it!

Ok reviewing the pictures and the info here, it sounds like the heel will not be an issue on cobblestones and if you don't like the current one's these are a suitable replacement. They have a similar style but it's refreshed with the thinner heel and pointy toe. I say go for it. The toe on these will look super leg lengthening with peeking out from a straight leg or bootcut jean. I change my vote to yay!

On the cobblestone, this is only an issue in certain parts of the city. The street I live on is cobblestone, but not the sidewalk, so it is only crossing the street. The campus where I work is oddly stoned, hard to explain--like slabs of stone with cut-outs in the middle, or placed not close enough together, so I would have to watch my step when I go buy a cup of coffee or something. This is more awkward, of course, than wearing flats, but it's also not such a big deal, since the scale of the stones is largish and flat. It's more like slightly restricted stepping than picking my way over stones.

How often would you be walking on cobblestone? I'm not so into ankle boots but I do like the look of these..they look a little retro to me. What would you be wearing them with? The look is very different to your "sturdy" booties but I do prefer the proposed style over the ones you are seeking to replace. I love the black AND the white!!

OK, I gave this some more thought. I think the issue is, although I know I like the style of the proposed booties, and I actually don't like the style of the ones I have that much, if I wear the latter to work, nobody would bat an eye because they are sufficiently sturdy, whereas if I wear the former, then I look more self-concious and fussy.

I also love these - especially the white ones - but the black ones are cool too. However, I don't think these would be real practical for walking on cobblestone - that's the only thing that gives me pause!

I'm on the fence, you say they are to replace a pair of "sturdy" shoes? These don't say sturdy to me. They are kinda cute but I vote nay because they do not look heavy walking or cobblestone walking friendly.

I'm hesitating about the style, although that's my personal preference. BUT if you really want everyday booties I would definitely keep on looking. These don't look very practical to me (and you mentioned cobblestone)!

I don't know. These are not my style so it's hard for me to view them objectively. I am pretty wary about skinny heels on concrete and even more so on cobblestone....

But if you love them then get them!

This style looks a little retro/classic/fussy to me, but maybe in a good way? I need a bootie for everyday wear and I liked how these would add a little sleek polish. And they are on sale. They would be replacing my sturdy Clark ankle booties that leak rain on my toes. I don't totter on little heels, but I admit thin heels aren't the best on cobblestone. I like to think I can deftly maneuver the stones like a graceful little deer, but perhaps it is not so The Clarks had a higher but thicker rubber heel so stones weren't an issue with those. They were decidedly more casual though. I want black, but included the white because you can see the detail better.

ETA: 3rd picture is the Clarks. I am so mad at them. The leather and shoe is in perfectly good shape. I had the cobbler fix the leaky sole once, but it didn't last long.
