These are old screw back earrings, so no post. I slid the earring into place with the fabric of both the dress and the shrug in between the back of the earring and the screw back (with it screwed open). I then adjusted the screw until it was tight against the fabric and nothing could move. Anyway, you can see it below, along with what we decided to wear (minus his tie and without hair/makeup done). I think we’ll be fine.
