I tried the entire suit with the satin shell and it did not work. There just wasn't enough contrast -- something about the fusion of these three pieces.</p> <p>Una - an unmatched bottom counts of course. None of the three pieces here match. I even count a dress with an unmatched jacket. </p> <p>Suz -- I think silvers and grays are my ideal neutrals next to navy. </p> <p>Beth Ann -- I understand what you're saying. I'll take fall as it comes a little here and a little there until its shows up permanently. I went out yesterday evening with DH for a lakefront bike ride. It definitely felt like summer. Then we went out for a nice dinner and got in just before the rain. </p> <p>Carla - Thank you for that, I never feel my best in flats and felt as if the shoes brought a little frump factor to the look. </p> <p>GP - it is hard not to look like you're going to an interview when you're wearing a matched suit. Very good point. The location is nice, the people are nice and the free snacks are a neat perk.<br />I was told to wear a suit on the first day -- so I did. I'd also straightened my hair for the occasion since it's been cooler. 45 minutes of straightening was completely wasted (as you see I have pulled all of my hair straight back). The humidity was too great! But I chose to wear an unmatched suit because I knew the client was business casual but my company wanted to make a good impression. I thought this was a great compromise. Normally I would wear heels but the location is about 3/4 of a mile from where I get off the train and I did not want to carry both my lunch and alternate shoes. </p> <p>I am wearing: <ul> <li>Kasper single button jacket in blue and white (there is a rule that busty ladies should not wear a single button jacket but I really believe that it depends on where the button hits you on your torso) </li> <li>BR navy stretch twill pencil skirt </li> <li>silver satin shell&nbsp;</li> <li>pewter buckle flats&nbsp;</li> </ul> Are there any fans of the unmatched suit out there? <br />&nbsp; </p>
