You have identified what my main frustration with cardigans is - it is hard to keep your chest warm in them. I like your solution to the problem.

Angie--thanks.
Jamie--this morning I reached for an open cardigan, but threw on a buttoned one. I agree.
Jenny--thank you!

I have the same problem with cardigans - I only like them buttoned up on me. The clip is a smart solution.

What Jenni said! You cleverly made the cardigan work with the nifty clasp

Zaeobi--thanks so much for the photos. I have tried to wrap it--it does not work. But I have done that with other sweaters. The neckline clasp idea sounds cute, though, and I will try that.

It looks nice on you! You could also play around with the placement of the clasp - near the neckline for a more A-line fit, or gathering just the front ends to the opposite shoulder for a shawl look. Let me see if I can find some examples.

Thanks, you two! And it does not do any damage to the shirt, like a pin would. Even to a thick sweater, I think.

Pretty clasp. I like how it adds a little cinch to the waist area by closing the cardigan with the clasp. Very clever.

Lovely little clip, so pretty. I think this definitely makes the cardigan look better than hanging loose.

I don't know why I keep acquiring cardigans--few work well on me. This one was hand-me-down from a friend--nice, but a little small.

The problem for me with cardigans is that I am busty, and the open front ones look, to me, always bad on me. Larger than I am, almost like a bath robe.

Today I had a few minutes to play around with this outfit. I wanted to close the front, and remembered I had these cool little clasp sets I got on Cider, Temu...one of those. They are mainly used to cinch in the waist of jeans, etc. when you are not going to go to the tailor. For casual looks, they work really well for that purpose.

I think this looks alright. Even the first photo looks alright, but I generally don't like that look.
